NLN Raheen

In 2015 a group from  the National Learning Network Raheen Rehabilitative Training Centre in Raheen became involved with Limerick Soundscapes. After engaging in practical workshops, soundwalks and visits the group were let loose with recorders and came back with a wonderful collection of sounds of the city and daily life.

Their work in sound was brilliantly documented and entered for the Aontas Adult Learner’s Festival 2016, where they won the top prize for large organisation in Munster. Since then they have acquired their own recording equipment and plan to continue collecting, both for Limerick Soundscapes and special projects of their own. The Limerick Soundscapes team offer huge congratulations the the NLN group and look forward to working with them in the future.
